Gramvoussa and Balos are located in the west part of island. We drive to the west, up to the port of Chania – Kissamos. Our short boat trip to the island of Gramvoussa begins from this port. A vast cave, probably an ancient shipyard, and the impressive geological phenomenon - the simultaneous lifting and sinking of the two sides of the island, where its western side rises up to 6-9 meters above the sea level, are the things you will be stunned at. At Gramvoussa, after a visit to its Venetian fortress, you will have plenty of time to explore the island and swim in its crystal waters. Gramvoussa is one of the most significant hydro-biotopes of the Mediterranean Sea.
Early in the afternoon, we move on to Balos. The lagoon with the white and pink sand and the turquoise waters makes the view of this place one of the most breathtaking ones in Greece.
You will feel like you are suddenly in heaven!!!
